Series of Polaroids, double exposure

At the beginning of the 90s, using a Polaroid camera, I discovered one could take double exposures by mistake. I subsequently made a series of self-portraits, shooting myself twice or sometimes three times in one picture. In some scenes, I kissed myself. The photos could be considered predecessors to my series “A Happy Marriage” (2003-ongoing) where I also photographed myself twice for one image, staging everyday scenes of a couple, playing both man and woman.
